Increase Holiday Sales With Your Facebook Page

The holidays are upon us once again. Each year retailers strive to maximize sales both in store and online. Facebook has evolved into a platform that can help drive sales, especially during the holiday season. Facebook mobile has 1 billion daily users

More and more people are willing to make purchases online rather than fight the crowds in stores. Chances are a link to your Facebook page will show up in relevant search results (if not, here are a few tips). Taking advantage of this traffic is a MUST. Here a a few ways you can increase holiday sales with your Facebook page.

1. Create a shop on your Facebook page.

Social shoppers are spending more than ever before. In 2014 alone, the top 500 retailers earned $3.3 billion from social shopping. To capitalize on this, Facebook allows businesses to create a shop on their Facebook page. Plus, if a shopper lands on your Facebook page, they do not need to navigate elsewhere to find the product they want.

There is a little know-how involved in setting up a Facebook shop but it isn't difficult. Integrating a third party app like Shopify, makes the process easy for you and fosters a seamless experience for shoppers.

2. Engage in conversation to drive sales.

If you have do not use the Messenger feature on your Facebook page, go ahead and activate it. Doing so allows shoppers to talk to a real person while they browse. It also provides an opportunity to nurture shoppers through your sales funnel, converting them into a customer. This builds a strong, more personal relationship between your shop and your customers.

3. Create a cover image for your page to generate buzz around holiday sales.

An eye-tracking study conducted by EyeTrackShop found that shoppers spent more time looking at Facebook cover photos than wall posts or ads. Take advantage of this by creating a custom eye-catching image that promotes holiday sales.

4. Use a CTA button.

Facebook allows you to create a call-to-action (CTA) button to drive conversions on your page. There are seven options available:

  • Contact Us
  • Use App
  • Play Game
  • Shop Now
  • Watch Video

According to Brian Kim, Director of Acquisition for Dollar Shave club, their sign up CTA delievered a 2.5x higher conversion rate versus other social placements aimed at driving new customers.
